A GENERATION SET ON FIRE FOR JESUS TO BE SPARKS OF REVIVAL

BOARD OF TRUSTEES: FireStarters is shaped by a small leadership team and served by a dedicated board of trustees:

David McGregor

Charity Trustee & Treasurer

John Craib

Charity Trustee

Lynn Howson

Charity Trustee

Lynn has been involved in Christian ministry most of her married life alongside her husband Maurice and their three daughters. Lynn pioneered the ministry of FireStarters in 1996 during a time of being involved with the Kings Kids ministry of YWAM and have led the ministry since then. There have been many adventures and faith challenges and it has been such a joy to see hundreds of young people gaining confidence in God and in their identity as His songs and daughters. We have also taken the love of God to people in many and varied communities across Scotland. I am also passionate about how God wants to move in the lives of young people across the nation.

Anthony Allan

Charity Trustee

I attended FireStarters throughout my teenage years and became a young leader - helping other young people to know God and respond to His voice. After a short break from the organisation, while studying Politics at Glasgow University, I became a trustee on the board and continue to serve in this way today. In 2014, I went to Herrnhut, Germany to complete a Discipleship Training School with YWAM. This was a really important experience for me and it was here that my passion for discipling young people was realised. I responded to the call to take on the leadership of FireStarters in 2017. For a day job, I work for HMRC as a tax inspector. I am married to Anna - a nurse at the local hospital. In our spare time, we like to climb mountains, explore the countryside and 'potter around' nice villages.
