Joelle Brandes
I have been with FireStarters for 10 years (6 of those were as a young person, the other 4 as a leader). Suffice it to say I have such a big heart for FireStarters that I haven’t wanted to leave and saw my passion for the young people continue to grow. I have just finished a Fine Art degree and I am going on to study to be a teacher this year, my plan is to teach art in secondary schools
Andy Fulton
I'm passionate about young people knowing their identity in God, being empowered by His love to transform both them and their world. I've worked as a teacher, a church leader and am now in business, but my heart for young people has never changed. I've been on FireStarters team 4 years. I have an amazing wife and 4 kids. I love the outdoors and curry.
Asha McKinnon
I’ve loved being a leader at FireStarters for the past 2 years. I’m married to Davey and we have four awesome children. We run a motorhome sales and hire business together, alongside some ministry stuff, and our little farm (home to sheep, chickens and dogs!). Some of my favourite things are snowboarding, travelling the world and chilling with my chickens. I’m passionate about seeing teenagers encounter God & learning to walk through this life with Jesus by their side.
Josh Nicholls
I have known about FireStarters all my life because of my family connection but it wasn’t until summer mission in Birmingham 2022 that I got to experience it for myself. For the last two years I have been a leader and my love for FireStarters has only grown. I am so passionate about seeing each one of our youth come to know Jesus for themselves. I’m currently working and studying as an accountant but in my weekends I love to go on adventures and hikes.
Jenny Winsley
My children Reuben, Joel and Katee have attended FireStarters over the years and my husband and I have helped in the kitchen over various weekends. I am passionate for young people to be released into their full potential through the love of Christ. I was a manager of a family learning centre and now I am a safeguarding officer for the Methodist church. I enjoy reading and walks by water.

Lynn has been involved in Christian ministry most of her married life alongside her husband Maurice and their three daughters. Lynn pioneered the ministry of FireStarters in 1996 during a time of being involved with the Kings Kids ministry of YWAM and have led the ministry since then. There have been many adventures and faith challenges and it has been such a joy to see hundreds of young people gaining confidence in God and in their identity as His songs and daughters. We have also taken the love of God to people in many and varied communities across Scotland. I am also passionate about how God wants to move in the lives of young people across the nation.
